Hi
New to the forum and I've come here for some helpful advice.
I have a 2010 Berlingo XTR 1.6HDI which is leaking oil from the rocker gasket unit which then settles around the injectors.
I've had 2 seals replaced and one complete rocker gasket unit with seal replaced by the local ndependant garage and it's still leaking.
Is there a technique to fitting these rocker gasket seals or a sequence to follow? I've bought a new replacement seal for the rocker gasket and I want to fit myself this time.
I've bought some 'Wynn's black gasket market' to help seal. I hope to do over the weekend and then leave for 48hrs before running the engine and allowing it to get hot.

Ok sealed the rocker gasket seal and the oil is definitely leaking from the cylinder head below. Is there a seal here to replace or is a new head gasket required? Any thoughts

Just a thought, are the injectors tight?

The injector clamps & seals can sometimes work a bit loose over time on the 1.6 engine. You'll need a 7mm (for the M59, not 100% sure about the B9) allen key to check them. If you can wait a couple of days, they are available at a good price from FFX, alternatively Halfords etc will sell them as they are used on some brake pad holders.

Injectors had worked their way loose - Tightened them up and they are much better but still some small oil leaking from injector 4 from the thread it appears.
I suppose I will have to replace the injector seals and copper washer to fix completely?? is that the correct assumption and solved other peoples similar oil leaks at this location?

Not done them myself, from looking online the seals come as a kit so may as well change the whole set? I'm sure there are others on here who've done the job so probably worth waiting to get a few opinions.
One thing I would do as soon as you've sorted the seals is to change the oil & filter as there's a chance that some combustion carbon will have got into the oil.

Hi - if you are seeing a leak from a thread do you mean the threaded connection to the steel diesel feed pipe that comes over the top of the engine to the injector from the common rail at the back? If so then try tightening that up a bit as it's independent of the seals and I can't think of any other 'bits' that are threaded.
You may not have to replace the seals - if you can hear/feel any 'chuffing' with the engine running or there's a load of carbon crud around the spot where the injectors drop into the head then you may have to but tightening down the holding nuts is usually enough (checking them every six months can save a bob or two).
