removing old signage from you berlingo

hi guys
not sure if this has been covered on the forum before but some of you like me may have purchased their berlingo from a company selling off their old fleet. My van had been sign written with vinyl stickers, these came of ok with a hair dryer and sore fingers, but you can still see it on the paint. Anyone successfully removed all traces of it ?

T-Cut and a bucket of elbow grease will do the trick no bother

EDIT: Oh, and dry weather. Water in your tcut.... :brickwall:

I couldn't shift mine with t-cut applied by hand, I had to use a Dual action machine polisher and some menzerna intensive polish.

My stickers had been removed by the seller. All looked good until it goes dark...
Suprisingly in sunlight/daylight the paint looks fine, but under street lights you can see where the stickers have been.
I have used T Cut Colour Fast Scratch Remover (in white!) and it has made an improvement, but needs another attempt. As with all abrasive compounds care needs to be taken especially on edges of panels.

Made by Farecla & is available in different grades. I G3'd my old P reg Berlingo a panel at a time, by hand, & finished with a quality wax to seal the shine in. If you have access to a machine polisher it would make life much easier & you'd achieve even better results.

It came up a real treat.

And if you look at the first picture of my van in "garage", that is the side where you can still read the old writing. Looks fine in the picture; but not under street lighting. (You can even read the phone number quite clearly!)

+1 G3 is the stuff to use! :thumbsup: You won't see T-Cut in many good bodyshops
I have a wholesale auto paint supplier near me and he does G3 a bit cheaper than I can get T-Cut in Hell Frauds.
