[Engine] P0201 Injector HELP PLEASE
#1
Hi guys, bit of a longish story but bare with..

Driving my 2008 Berlingo a month or so ago and the EML came on, i took the van home plugged in the trusty old OEM reader and found 6 faults,3 of which lead to the EGR Valve, we replaced that did an erase of all codes and a BSI Reset and everything seemed fine for two days but all of a sudden it came back on again. I plugged the trusty old OEM reader back in again to which there was 3 codes, 2 manufacturer codes and the P0201 which is number 1 Injector fault, we tried putting cleaner through with no luck, so bit the bullet and got the injector replaced. This problem is the light went out for a day but has come back on again. I would like to mention that limp mode would come on very intermittently and the light would some times come on and sometimes not come on...
If anyone could please shine some light on this situation or any other ideas as to what it can be i would be much appreciated

Thanks a lot

Tim

If you changed injector and you have the same issue than
the problem is in wiring or engine ECU.

Disconnect car battery. Unplug all injecor connections.
Take multimetar and measure resistance on the connector
between wires and form each wire to car earth.
Values must be the same on all connectors. If it's not than
you trace wires to ecu and check them. If wires are ok
than you have bad ECU

What engine version & HP do you have, I'm guessing from the year that it's a 16v 1.6HDi?

You still get the P0201 after the injector change, what were / are the other 2 codes you mentioned?

Have a read of this re the P0201, as Brajo says it could well be the wiring..

And like JJ9 says below, did you check the right injector.

Just to let people know if they read this, sorted this problem in the end, there was a split in the number 1 injector wire just after the plug that connects to the injector! Thanks for all the reply's guys Smile
