Yeah, I think I might try the old school soapy water test on the valves while my system still has some gas in it. From what I've read elsewhere, it's the nitrogen & dye test that I'll need to be confident that there are no other leaks.

Forget water and soap buy a can of Rocol leak detector for a tenner off ebay, should be much much better.
Before retiring I used loads of the stuff in work when checking industrial chillers, gas installations and cryogenics and it was worth the cost of purchase.

No leak detection required, educated guess of condenser appears to have been correct. Aircon running nice and cold just in time for the weather
