Replacement turbo saga continues.
Can anyone tell me if i can fit an MHI TURBO NO. 49173-07508 turbo to my 2006 1.6hdi?
I have seen this part no. turbo advertised elsewhere on ebay for vehicles from 08-17 and wondering if it is different for my 06 model?
I believe my turbo is 49173-07503 but have failed to find any information explaining any variations in part nos.
I have been offered the MHI 49173-07508 from a 2011 vehicle for a good price but will it work OK on my old 06 model?

Hi
I found a xref on an aftermarket site that lists the numbers below. AFAIK the 1.6 HDi comes in 75/90/110 Hp flavours - the 110 uses a VVT turbo that the other two don't. So if your HP matches the donor car I'd give it a whirl
=============================
Part Number/s
49173-07508
49173-07507
49173-07506
49173-07504
49173-07503
49173-07502
49173-07522
5435 988 7000
Comparison Number/s
0375N5
0375J0
0375Q5
0375Q4
0375Q3
0375K5

Ta for reply. OK so Citroen say my turbo should be 375Q3, which is the 5th listed and ties in with 49173-07503. But will it work with 49173-07508 which I guess is compatible with 0375-N5?
So If I can find an 07508 advertised as 90bhp, all that model should be compatible?

Just a heads up here...
When it comes to part numbers you can't always match like for like.... every part has it's own number on the system.
Example:
The wheel bolts from a certain year car will have a different part number to the one's from an earlier year, but they are exactly the same thing.
Given the info you have I would adopt the scrap yard mentality and fit the freeking thing....then you will know if it works or not.

That has already been explained, there are 2 turbos, the 75 & 90 use the same unit, it's only the 110 that uses a different unit, so any Turbo from a 75 or 90 should fit.
