AUX input not working
#1
I'm in Germany but am an English speaker (my wife is German).  Our Berlingo has the red and white RCA cable ports in the glove box.  I plugged in a Y cable connector to these and attached an MP3 player.  I am unable to get any sound.  On the head there are the options of Radio, CD, AUX/input.  On the Aux/input window it only reads Aux/input with an image of a aux cable and nothing more.

I've checked that all cables are securely plugged in, that the volume is up on both the player and in the Berlingo, that the red is plugged into red and the white is plugged into white.

I hope someone can help me resolve this as we are heading out on holiday soon and music for the wife and kids will be important on the long drive.

Hello there.

I think you have the aux input box inactivated in the BSI, and it has to be activated with an appropriate software and interface. A trip to a Citroen dealer will likely sort it out quickly, or You can always try to find someone near you that has a Lexia/diagbox interface, and that can help you sort it out. I am from Leipzig, Saxony, and have one such interface, If you are from nearby, pm me and maybe we can meet...

Thank you for the offer but we are not near Leipzig. Interesting that this will have to be brought to a shop to fix, I was hoping it was something I could fix. Thank you for your reply to my post.

I think a dealer would not charge you for this service, but honestly, I have no idea...It´s not any workshop that can do this, they have to have the proper diagnostic/interface machine...Best of luck.

My wife took the Berlingo to a dealer today (without the Mp3 player unfortunately) and the technician said that the RCA connector box is activated and has current. Still no sound. Is it possible that I have the wrong Y connector? It has a red and white plug and a 3.5mm output for the AUX cable. I'm frustrated. I've plugged headphones into the MP3 player and it works. Leave for holidays tomorrow.
