steering rack gaitor - cant get ram off
Hi guys, please can someone help me, i have a 2006 berlingo and i am attempting to change the ns steering rack gaitor for mot. i have done the usual, removed the track rod end etc, i have seen there is a ram and i am attempting to remove it as to slide on the new boot, although this looks like it will be a pig on its own. i have undone the nut on the ram and almost got the arm off but its under a fair bit of tension and i cant seem to get enough leverage to get it off, am i missing a trick? i have worked out by having the wheels turned in the right direction i can extend the ram a bit to help with movement but cant fully extend as it will hit the anti-roll bar housing/bolt. im getting fed up as i usually do these in about 20 mins and i have been faffing with this all day. thanks in advance.
