Gear problems please help

Hi guys 

Got a 06 Berlingo 2.0 hdi. The other week it got stuck in 4th gear I had to pull pretty hard to get It out and in doing so the linkage came off. I clipped it all back together but now if I select 2nd 4th or reverse the yellow ball comes out of its housing and I have no gears again. It's the yellow ball that sits in the part connected to the gear rods that connect to the gesrstick. Not explained very well I know. It's not the 3 rods that are coming off basically the yellow ball is coming out of its housing.
