In my B9 berlingo ownership I've always had the drain lid, pot hole suspension rattle. It absolutely annoys the hell out of me. I've changed springs, top mounts, drop links, bushes the lot !
In my experience every single time the rattles will be caused by the drop links.
I've bought genuine citroen, cheap ebay, more expensive ebay, euro car parts you name it I've virtually tried.
This lost recent time I changed the drop links I went to my local car parts place and I had the choice of 2 types.
1 was a run of the mill type
2 was described as a stronger toughened version by a company called MAYLE.
I bought the MAYLE links and still no good.
Every single pair of drop links I've ever bought do solve the annoying rattles instantly BUT only for around 6 months if your lucky.
It is what it is and I either live with it or change them every now and again.
Also I'd just like to add I don't consider I drive my berlingo hard in anyway and my driveway isn't a 3 mile long farmers pot holed track hahaha
Very annoying but cheap fix.
