egr valve blanking plate

hi all  - im thinking of fitting a blanking plate to the EGR valve on my 05 2 litre hdi. has anyone any experience or info regarding the advantages and/or disavantages of doing this? Also looking at getting the engine re-mapped to take it from 90 bhp  to 117bhp

Take a look at the HDI Tuning web site, there's some good info on the EGR & re-mapping. One thing to be aware of is that some, but not all, 2.0 engines will show the EML if you blank the EGR.
