Berlingo B9 Tow Bar Install Guide + Witter PG46C
#1
Guide on my Berlingo 2011 B9 Witter PG46C Tow bar installation

**This is reference only, i'm not held responsible for any damage to your car if following these notes**

Tools Needed

Trox T30 and T20
24mm, 19mm, 17mm Sockets heads
Set of car ramps help to lift the rear off the ground.
Glass's

Witter PG46C fitting instructions and bolts and washer list needed can be found online.

Found how to remove rear Bumper from Youtube Click which helped

Removed Rear Light clusters

Circles where the Trox botls are located, Remove carefully as plastic can be brittle and will need to remove the wiring for the cluster, just unclips.

Removed the Push in bolts in the rear wheel arch only one to disconnect from the rear bumper, small screw driver to pull the middle out then carefully wiggle to pull out. Pull the wheel liner forward from the rear to release it.

A few screws or bolts along the top of the bumper under the rubber lip and up the side, mine where removed due to damage in the past. Also two each side heading to the light cluster.

Pull the  section closest to the rear wheel which a slight tug which should free it from its housing.

Bumper should come away easy.

On the Crash bar the lowest bolt will need removing. The threaded nut is welded to the car on the under side.
Attach main body of the Tow bar, Glass's are suggested due to muck, rust and other bits falling off the car.
Can see new bolt with bar attached.

Under the car the Bolts that need for the rear tow bars arms are already there.

Rear arm takes a little bit of wiggling to get in place on the exhaust side
Rear arm bolted under the car, only one on the picture taken at the time.

Can see the Bolt needed to attached the main body of the tow bar to rear crash bar to the right of the picture.

Attach rear arms to main body of the tow bar via the Two bolts at opposite end of the arm.

Reverse putting the bumper on same way you took it off.

End product.

Tested locally, and has been used for few long trips.
All good.

Will do a post about Adding Tow bar Electrics.
