Maybe a turbo oil seal that's gone, or some loose pipes between the rocker cover & the air intake.

How does the oil get outside of the intercooler?
Maybe also a small hole in the intercooler together with some seal that failed

Check the the oil breather from the rocker to the air intake is fitted right might not have sealed , you need something like a catch tank to stop the oil go in into the intercooler .

If you can find a garage with a smoke tester, you get the cooler tested for leaks very easily, I bet you it is faulty.

I had same issue with oil in the intercooler and connected hoses but not leaking it was just sitting inside it. Turned out to be the oil seal in the turbo.

I would say intercooler has a leak, seen it many times and it makes it look like the turbo has gone but its okay.
