how easy is this? do i have to remove the wheels when removing the rear arch liner? are there any threads on here?

Not hard just fiddly, I did mine a few years back - wife put pettrol in my diesel tank !!!
Memory says there are a few semi hidden screws usually under dust / dirt so feel your way around carefully.
