Hello ,
I have owned my first ever Berlingo for 6 days now. I love it, but do have a problem.
I have found 2 threads on this subject but both are quite old and I'm hoping that my problem isn't to do with the factory fault I've read about on one thread as it would mean I've wasted my money on a car that can't be fixed.
So the problem is that the outer rubber seal on the roof panel looks to have seen better days and at the front drivers side , the seal can actually be lifted up an inch or so. I assumed that a bit of sealer would do the job, but am now worried after reading about some of this model had a factory fault with a repair costing thousands.
I haven't noticed any water as such getting in, but when driving for the first time, did notice condensation forming on some windows, so I assume some damp has got in between the roof and the inner trim. It did rain several inches last weekend before I bought the car.
So can anyone tell me how to tell if my Berlingo has this factory fault ? It is 13 years old now and I would have thought if it was this, it would have happened a while ago. I don't know.
If , it is just "old age" then what is the best way to fix it ?
I read on one thread to use washing machine sealant. Someone suggested windscreen sealant.
I have just used some electrical tape to stop any water getting under the seal until I get more advice.
Hoping someone can help, Kind Regards, Mark.
