Heating fan
#1
OK, I just noticed that the fan in my car (with airco) only seems to works in position 3 and 4. In position 1 and 2 i can't hear anything working ... is this normal, or a known issue?

It could be the fan heater resistor pack failed, usually they fail and only work on number 4 setting.
Have a search on the site there is a few threads on the subject, on the right hand drive models you get at it from up under the passenger footwell to the centre of the dash and I think its held in by a screw or two and it has a block connector that unclips.
It could look something like this but do remove and test/check before ordering as there are a few different ones.

Do a bit of a google search and you will see what I mean. You probably have a cabin filter as you have aircon you get at this via the same route.

Test it when you get the pack out don't just assume its faulty.

I can 't find the heater resistor ... where is is located? I have a left-hand-drive and the fuses are below the steering wheel. ...

Not sure if its swapped round on a left hand drive model perhaps you need to look up under the dash from the passenger side. There is a piece of lining/cloth trim that you have to let down by removing 3 plastic fixings and then look up under the dash towards the centre of the car. Have you got a workshop manual that may help locate it and give you a better idea. You can download a manual on the site somewhere.
