How do you remove the inside lower panels of boot space?
#1
Needing to remove the rear panels inside the boot - trying to track down the water ingress.

Carpet it out but I can't work out how to remove the panels - brute force seems to be the way but I'd rather not damage the panels.

So what is the correct way to remove them please?

All sorted, thanks...and as suspected, plenty water in there...back of panel is soaked so drying that. The wee black box has plenty water on it - now dried. Wiring seems to work but damp.

I suspected the water was coming in via rear light cluster but that is totally dry...so really unsure where the water has come from...surface of car above the black box thing is all dry so I'm really confused.
Will leave panel off for a few days and run air con to help dry the car out.
Driver side rear panel also removed and that is all dry, so just passenger side getting water in.

also might be leaking thru rear window seal.......... leak coming from above.......also try... open rear door, nearside top left...where the flexi wire cover is.....make sure its well sealed......most possible culprit

Thanks for posting this video. Hopefully I won't ever need to do it, but am amazed at amount of wiring behind panel.

is the wiring still there where the torch was fitted to early cars

Unsure...I don't know what I'd be looking at to confirm.

Plenty wires and all resting on a plastic self-styled thing. It is the shelf that is soaked.

I'm going to seal the runner for rear door and also put more sealant inside against the body work.
