DPF and AdBlue Cat stats

        Hi there,

My car was in getting a faulty NOx sensor replaced on it but i have also had issue with the car burning a bit more oil. As a result i asked the garage to give me a read out of the DPF and AdBlue Cat information that there diagnostic equipment was spitting out. Im just looking to see if anyone can help with breaking down what this actual information all means. I will upload a photo of the information that was contained on the print out.

Doonfoot Road? Scene of many a family Sunday afternoon stroll a few (like fifty) years ago!

OK the machine says all is good.

Your DPF is regenerating fine at roughly 1076 km intervals, last regen 393 km ago. The DPF shoudl last you another 120,624 km and is currently 20% full of ash. Plenty of fluid in the bag.

I'd be happy if it was mine :-)

Hi there Graeme,

Apologies for the delay in replying as I’ve been busy lately. The garage thought it was ok to but they don’t have experience with the berlingo specifically so can only really say if it’s good or bad if the computer says so lol. It was only replaced 30K ago and the original done the 223K the counter was reset on that after it was refilled with powerflex at 125k because it ran out. I believe the counter counts down from 100 then gives a check light to check the DPF is functioning ok. It was replaced like for like with another Citroen DPF so I would hope it does that again. However it is burning a bit of oil now and the mileage is up so only fair to assume it would be catching more particulate and as a result generating more ash in the end up.

The fluid was refilled at the DPF replacement so I was hoping that it was ok anyway. The thing that does interest me here is the Adblue cat as it looks like it is not far away from probably being thermally worn out? No idea if you have had experience with these?
