Safest route is via a genuine part or a well known brand name such as Pierburg. As Polar says, eBay sell a lot of rubbish. You can check part numbers via service.citroen.com or catcar.info
I bought a MAF for my M59 2.0 from an eBay seller and it was fine, before buying I checked the seller address details to be sure they were UK based (most cheap ones are from Chinese sellers) & it came with a 2 yr warranty, it worked fine for the 3 months I had the car before selling. For my M59 1.6 HDi I bought a genuine used one from eBay, it lasted well over a year before I sold that car.

What BHP is your engine? The 75 & 90 BHP engines have a different turbo from the 110, which uses a VNT turbo. If it's a 110, the turbo vanes may be a bit clogged and slow to react, or there may be a problem with the solenoid valve.

It's the 90hp engine. The ones i've been looking at on eBay are between the £25-£40 mark and UK sellers. Seen a few that say they a used but tested and working for about the same price. Eurocarparts have them listed at £130ish

Can anyone confirm my multi meter and torque pro readings are off before I condemn this MAF sensor.

Here's the torque pro reading https://photos.app.goo.gl/TSv9iSryrBC3TBok9

Here's the exhaust, it doesn't smoke much here but when under load and driving it belches black smoke when accelerating. https://photos.app.goo.gl/BRLx2FuMgMmQfede7

Your MAF is certainly working according to Torque, the only way to be sure if it's doing what's expected is via Lexia / Diagbox. Are you still getting error codes?

yeah still getting error codes, is the reading not too high though? I always thought at idle that reading should be about 2 g/s but the lowest it goes on idle is about 7-8 g/s but i could be wrong on that.
