Roof Rails Missing

Good Morning!

Recently purchased a 13 plate Berlingo Van,

The roof rails aren’t present, however the bolts they sit on are. So they stick out on the roof like a sore thumb!

Are there any blanking bolts/plates you purchase?

Get some stainless button head Allen screws or just take the bolts out and blob some mastic in the holes. What do they come with from the factory if the rails are not fitted ?

my new 2019 van had 6 loose fitting plastic plugs in the holes 4 of which were missing the first time I washed it, I fitted flat headed screws with plenty of grease on the treads in case I fit roof bars

do not use mastic/silicon on any part of vehicle where it come into contact with the paintwork as mastic will react with paint and it will peel off and rust..lesson learned myself previously.
