Air con on 2009 Multispace - how to know if it has it?
Hi all,

Looking to get a 2009ish Multispace (the new-ish shape), and struggling to find one that meets are my requirements (petrol, not crazy high miles, affordable, not wheelchair converted, and has air-con)

From what I have seen, the air-con is turned on with a button in the middle of the centre console, above the fan/temp dials - in a row of 3 rectangular buttons, it is the centre one.

I have seen a couple adverts that claim the car has air-con - but the middle button is blank.

Are they incorrect, or is there another way to turn air-con on?

As a related question - does anyone have a Multispace without air-con, and if so, how do you find it (especially on longer drives, in Summer, and maybe when somewhere a little warmer like France)?

Welcome to the forum. You're right that the aircon switch is in the centre, so if it's not there chances are that the car does not have aircon. My aircon failed last summer so I opened the window while driving and it was fine but when I've been stuck in traffic and it's hot outside it was a bit sticky. If you're going to the south of France, any car will get hot inc the Berlingo.
Thanks for the welcome and info - as I thought.

While I am here - any thoughts on higher mileage petrols (100k miles+) - obviously depends on service history, but in general, avoid, or fine as long as it has been looked after?

I'd pay attention to where it's been serviced and how regularly.
