I have a Berlingo 1.6 2007
i removed the fuel filter today from the van.
i noticed what is called a drain tube attached to it.
i noticed the other end wasnt connected to anythin it was just hanging....
should it be connected to anythin or just hanging?

Hi and welcome to the forum, if you plan on joining us you should introduce yourself in the relevant section.
Most forums will not answer questions from 1 off posters but i feel this is wrong as very often said people are only looking for help and may not be good at forums.
Anyway the answer is no its a drain tube, on the filter is a knob to unscrew to let any water out that the filter has separated from the fuel. It then drains onto the top of the gearbox or undertray. If you dont let fuel go stale in your tank it unlikely there will be any water in the tank.
Hope this helps
