I’ve been to one of those places in a shopping centre that replaces all key remotes but to make a long story short it was s**t. Where is the best place to get a replacement three button remote? Also I think the circuit board is knackered so will I have to go to a Citroen garage to replace it and would I be as well off in the long run just to buy the remote off a Citroen dealer as well? I’m in Australia and even to get genuine wheel trims took ages as they had to be ordered from France!!! Any help appreciated ??

Sorry cant help with anyone in Austrailia but over in the UK I always go to an auto locksmith as they usually have all the equipment to sort out a new key. If you cant find a locksmith in your area you may have to go to citroen to sort it.
Are we there yet?????

The remote locking & immobiliser are different functions so it should be possible to re-sync a new remote, so long as the engine can be started with the key. I've seen remotes with a separate immobiliser chip, but also with some kind of built in immobiliser function.
If you take the cover off the remote, is there a small grey chip at one end? Maybe a picture or 2 would help. Whatever you do, don't throw the old remote (or any parts of it) away until the new one is working!
