Saying good bye to xtr?
#1
Well after 4 years as a taxi and 125000 miles it’s time to get a Euro 6 vehicle, I have to say there has been a few niggles but it is the longest I have ever kept a cab.the egs gearbox has saved my left knee and although it takes a certain driving style has been great, but now what do I get next? do I get a berlingo flair eat 8 or do I abandon the diesels and go hybrid any thoughts on the reliability of the new 1500 engine and eat box thanks

The only major problem has been injector seals I would check bolts are tight once a year and brakes rattled at front when cold or when pads were low that’s it ?

(26-01-2020, 10:33 AM)you have been lucky.... 10 plate manual xtr has let me down twice with low oil pressure ( clogged up oil pick up tube and fitted new sump pan at 75000, now at 80000 glow plugs injector seals and now cannot get DPF to regenerate , stuck in limp mode. Oh and yes top quality oil and filters always  used.  Will not be buying another diesel that’s for sure, the emission control electronics are just too complicated nowadays to satisfy all the save the planet brigade.
