Powerflex Pump Coding?
#1
Hi all,

Just a quick question regarding the powerflex pump for the DPF fluid. That is my second time getting one fitted and the garage can do the filling, fitting and programming but cannot code it and it seems only citroen can do the coding as it needs coded to the engine ECU. Does anyone know if there is a system the garage can use that will code this without using citroen or will it need to go to citroen for this if it happens again???

Diagbox will probably do what you need. You can get the kit (hardware & software) on eBay, or any decent indie garage that fixes Citroen / Peugeot should have it.

It's no too difficult once you get used to it. There are quite a few videos online that show how it works, maybe even some that show how to reset the pump.

Hi there Cancunia,

I’ve had a look but can’t see any videos. Plenty stuff about flashing ECU’s and doing other bits and bobs and stuff with the BSI but not much on the additive pumps. Maybe need to just get one and try it to see what it’s like. Problem is I have no idea what the coding is about I’m not sure if it’s pulling a code from the ECU and loading it to the pump or if it’s using a code from the pump to load to the ECU. When you speak to the techs at Citroen the give very very little away. All top secret lol

I've never done it myself so can't give any tips.
Does a Google Search for "diagbox eolys" show up anything that helps?

Hi Cancunia,

Forgot to reply to you long time ago. I’m not really bothered about the programming now to be fair. My garage has struck a deal with the local Citroen dealer to get the programming done for a set fee of £55 which I thought was pretty reasonable. So if it happens again I’ll probably get the garbage to diagnose it replace and refill them send it to the dealer for programming. Unless the Delphi machine they have gets an update soon which can do the programming itself.
