Radio issues

I recently bought a 64 plate Berlingo VTR, which has got a pretty basic radio fitted - CD player, no DAB, no USB port and two 3.5mm AUX sockets in the glovebox.  I've tried playing my iPhone 7 plus through the AUX input with two different cables, but with hardly any volume.  Does anyone know how I can fix this?  Alternatively, is it possible/feasible to put in a later Citroen radio with USB port and (possibly) DAB?

I don't know for sure about a later radio with USB or DAB, maybe others will be able to confirm. I think the the volume level is quite a common issue when using the headphone socket on phones & is the same if you use a Connects2 adapter on the earlier RD3.
If it's an RD4 radio you can get a Bluetooth adapter to plug into the one of the aux sockets which might solve the problem.
