CarPlay maps GPS problem

So my apple CarPlay maps always crashes as I’m driving, it will work for 30 seconds and then just freeze in the same location for 30 seconds then update, I’ve tried google maps and Waze but both do the same thing. All apps work fine while not plugged into the usb to use CarPlay. Does anyone know how to get it to work properly or is there a GPS booster or anything I can get? Thanks

Even with the latest software in the latest berlingo there are problems with Waze and Google maps (both owned by google)

Mine crashes from time to time but i think thats an apple issue
