Have you checked the top mounts?
I had an intermittent knocking in the front left, rest of the suspension components appeared to be ok when tested so replaced both sides.

Droplink maybe? Easy enough to change those before biting the top mount bullet. (Having said that all our Pugs & Berlingo needed new top mounts at around 110,000 miles)

Take the drop links off and drive the car round the block, if the clonk has gone you've probably found the problem.... I say probably because with the drop links removed the anti roll bar mounts won't be being stressed and it's possible for them to give a clonk noise if worn.

Assuming that you can’t see anything, then it’s most likely the top mount or damper.
The strut will need to be removed & the spring stripped off.
Once you have the strut on its own, check for “rock “ in the piston.
Any movement will need a new damper.
The top mount has a steel bush bonded into the rubber, these split away from the bonding & get noisy.
