Hello.
I have a 2003 Berlingo and it's started to do rather odd electrical things. It turns on and starts fine but nothing works on the instrument panel but the battery light and handbrake light remain on. Usually the wipers don't work, although sometimes they do and only the sidelights work.
I took it to the garage and he said it looked like the BSI unit wasn't communicating properly. If you take out the special green fuse (sorry don't know the techical term!) and replace it after a few seconds it sometimes sorts it, but not always. We tried a routine that was supposed to reset the BSI unit but it didn't work.
Does anyone have any ideas? The garage said I would need to take it to a Citroen dealer and that it would cost a fortune and more than the car is worth. But before I give up on it (it's a lovely car and works fine otherwise) I wonder if there is something we could try?
Thanks for any suggestions.
Rachael
