Replacing electric window switch

Hi all. My 2012 van has been diagnosed with having a faulty electric window switch. Can any one help me with how to remove the old switch and replace with a new one?

Hi mate, I've not pulled the switches on my van but I expect like most, they pull up / wiggle out. You might need to use a plastic body tool to lever them out, or pull the gaiter ring on the gear shift and see if you can push them out from underneath via the hole exposed by lifting the gear shroud up. A stiff guitar pick is a handy tool if you don't have body trim tools (plastic kind) or they can be had on ebay for a few quid, very handy.

The new switch should give a clue about how to get the old one out.

Lift the gear Gaiter,
Unscrew all the screws hidden underneaath the gaiter.
Unscrew the sides of the centre gear console (in the footwell) and lift out.
should have the swich panel remaining (from memory) fixed in place.
The switches are released downward through the panel and held in by a small clip you'll have to release with a small flat screwdriver from under the mounting panel.
I managed to strip & clean the switches, only do if youre prepared to venture into the world of switch internals.
replace in the reverse order.
working like a dream now.

The widow limits may need resetting after this as mine would only lift an inch at a time.
Raise the window up to fully closed then continue to hold up for 5-10 seconds on the switch, I think, read from another post.
