Hi, my chariot is 2015,XTR 1600,Blue.I also have a  C4 Picasso (too complicated)
I have owned BMW, Mercedes, Ford, etc in the past, but I have really enjoyed driving and owning my Berlingo for the past year.
A single Amdro leaves room for my bike, and yes there isn't a lot of room. I was sorely tempted with a Toyota Proace based Lerina,(over £40,000) but I just love the Berlingo (and the money in the bank).

I am surprised, there don't seem to be any 'Berlingo Meets', this little car/van could give the VW a run for its money.

I carry a 'Tarp' to give me outside space, using heavy duty suckers to attach to the car and 2x 6' poles.I use a 25year old Phoenix Phreerunner backpacking tent (3.5kgs) as a campsite 'place marker' and it works well.

In my youth I visited many French music festivals (car +tent) and loved the freedom, and the sun. Scotland and the Lakes etc have seen the Berlingo on a,   'what else do I need in this van?' tour,     ,,,,,split charger?, shower?,toilet?,lights?,heater?,fridge?,solar?, No, No,No keep it simple.

I can stealth camp, or I can use a campsite, or I can B&B, or I can even stay in a hotel,I can do whatever I want, and do you know why????

'Cos I am retired!!!!!!    Cool  Huh!

Haha nice one mate, welcome to the forum, I'm sure you will like it here.

I like your analogy to the VW having been a dubnut myself for many years -and now a Citroen fan. The citroen brand is just as good, especially now that the more modern stuff is not so wacky as their cars used to be. (for anyone who disagrees with previous "wacky-ness" - I say - 1986 CX25 Safari - I had one, everything was different to any "normal" car - the speedo dial rotated on a drum while the needle stayed still, the indicator controls were a big flat rotary dial switch and not a stalk, the stereo was between the seats - etc etc.)

Hi Zion, thanks for the reply.

The fancy BMW and Mercedes were nice cars however if it snowed ( not unheard of in the UK),they would slip and slide all over the place. Not a pleasant experience.     My early Picasso was brilliant in the snow and could pack in all the band PA gear + 3 people.

The Berlingo    ('Midge' ,   I like Scotland) reminds me of the 2CV, with a few refinements. It will certainly not be the only Berlingo I will own, just cannot envisage an Electric one lol.

love the forum

keep cool!

Haha love the viewpoint. Aye, electric will be the end of the dream. Cos it won't work out. If you live in a flat, where do you charge it......
