Hello guys, this is my first post on here. I recently purchased a 2019 Citroen Berlingo Enterprise Van. its the 1.6 HDI model? Its done 9k miles and overall Im fairly impressed with it. Its well specced and has some very clever ideas such as the collapsible bulkhead, stage solutions etc. However I have a question (well a few actually, but this ones important).
I've never owned a car with Adblue and if Im honest, knew nothing about it other than I see it when filling up with fuel on offer in petrol stations in 10l containers. I only noticed this when I went to fill it up for the first time, and there is the port to enter adblue. I never paid it much thought till today. I Was sat in traffic, and I pressed the Spanner button on the dials. I got the following information:
1: Tyre Pressures OK
2: 14995 miles till service
3. To No Start 1700 miles with the adblue light illuminated briefly.
Now, Im guessing that means in 1700 miles, my van won't start due to lack of adblue. Fair enough.
But can I just go and get a container and fill it back up now? Do I have to wait for the light to come on? How much does it hold? IF I fill it up, does the information re calibrate itself and tell me how many miles till its needed again or does this need to be done at a dealer?
Ideally, Id like to top it up now, cause 1700 miles will be eaten this month, but need to know how and when it can be done?
Thanks in advance
