2003 multispace issue
#1
Hi all

I have 2003 multispace that has a parasitic battery drain, I have narrowed it down to the heater circuit but it doesn't make sense as the drain doesn't occur when I disconnect the fuse which oddly is a 10a not a 25a, o assume there shouldn't be power going to the fuse when the ignition is off so it must be something further up the line, any ideas?

Welcome to the forum. Many functions are controlled via relays in the BSI , maybe a relay has stuck closed. There are lots of posts on here about the BSI, including the infamous BSI reset procedure.

Thank you

Would a 53 plate have bsi?

I did think of a relay but can't find a diagram anywhere

Thanks again

If it has a problem starting with slow cranking speed, or needing two turns of the key to start, it could be the starter. Its a common issue mentioned here frequently with the older ones solvable by repair or replacement of starter.

I hope this helps.

Started fine this morning, drove 2 miles to work and it's dead, I reckon the battery is knackered as the alternator is pumping out 14v
