Codes and misfires

I can't quite belive it but my vans stuttering issue has returned. 1.6 hdi, It misfires going up a hill or around 2000rpm and can do it at any time. It's really difficult to tell what's causing it because a lot of the time it's fine but it's consistently intermittent if you know what I mean. New fuel filter. Changed the MAS. I'm going insane. I bought a reader. Thought maybe someone could shed some light.

I changed the mass. Next step would be cam sensor I guess. Could that cause misfire?

I read something about air con pressure? I don't have air con lol. Not sure what this one is all about.

Most likely a bad glow plug from what I read. It starts okay but does smoke white for 5 minutes so I'm expecting 1 has gone bad. But surely glow plugs can't cause a car to misfire after 10 minutes of driving? Maybe something to do with them turning on to clean dpf? Listen to me trying to be clever. 

All the injector seals have been changed and there's no leaking anymore No fuel smells. I thought about it being a blocked injector but surely it would misfire continually and not just at random times? It was fine for 20 miles the other day and then cam back. 

I haven't cleaned the erg valve yet because I'm waiting for these stupid pliers to come so I can remove it. In another post I gained some valuable info about the erg valve being stuck so I'm eager to see if its that.

A misfire at 2000 rpm is very often the egr valve. Sticking open i believe.

You can buy an EGR blanking plate for the 1.6HDi for less than £5, no need to take the EGR valve off to fit as it slots in place between the valve & manifold. It will help to diagnose the problem & can be removed later without problems.
