I'm a newbie, pls treat me gently
#1
Hi there
Recently joined this forum although I have had my Berlingo 12 plate Multispace Plus for about 5 years - yep, the one with pretty seats, alloy wheels and FA else!  That all changes Monday when my 66 plate 120hp 6 speed XTR arrives with the highest spec I have ever seen.  It's like someone has gone to the factory extras department and said 'give me one of everything'.

Even the test drive and look round tells me that I don't know what half the stuff does, despite being in the motor trade most of my life.  I'm 75 now and long retired so out of touch with some of the modern technology.  I'll read the handbook first (take me about a week I guess) and fiddle with stuff, but I'll be back on here with questions I guarantee.

I'm still a boy-racer at heart and I can see penalty points looming[Image: smile.png]  My other car is a 1986 2cv Dolly with twin exhausts and the number A1 2CV S - the 14th 2cv I've had in 30 years.  Sad isn't it?

Regards
Anton

Thanks Geoff - had to google 'cwtch' I'm afraid, but thank you for the nice response from Wales and what a lovely word.
XTR 120 already on the road, Jesus it's fast, defo points coming up if I'm not careful!  Already found out how to switch off the things I don't want and found some things I didn't know I had.  Although it is the same colour as my 12 plate it is like a different car altogether - so much quieter and smoother.  Interesting to see what the consumption will be, I struggled to get the old one above 40mpg.  My daughter always got better than 45 when she borrowed it so it has got to be to so with my size elevens on the go pedal.  That isn't going to change now I've got 30 horses more though!

Whats that "city braking"? ive never come across that term before.

Ive got an 08 Berlingo first van - no DPF or ABS. I have air con and the puss pack on it so its a decent little van, ive had it from new and have kept it in decent nick.
