Hi Guys, I have a 2016 multispace with the touchscreen display which I've had for 12 months, twice in the last 4 days the screen has gone blank and then when it comes back on the clock resets to 00:00, I was wondering if theres an internal battery or something, its annoying (I use the car daily and 4-5 trips a day), prior to this occasionally (couple of times a month) it would not start up on ignition so I'd need to switch off and back on and it would be fine then, I can see an earlier thread from 2015 but my issue seems different than that. Or is this normal for this unit?
thanks

Hi mate, so you have 2 feeds to a stereo, one is there all the time to maintain power to the stereo for clock, station memory etc and another that only comes on with ignition to wake the stereo up (on pin 12 I think) so it would be worth checking that. Cancunia posted a link somewhere to the din plug pinout so I'd look for that and start there if you have a voltage tester or a meter. Also worth checking the fuses haven't got some surface oxidation so pulling them and cleaning the pads of the fuses with an ink rubber would maybe help, and pushing them back in fully.
Most likely it's a bad connection that is intermittent so I'd start there. Din plug pins or fuses.
