Non starter

Hi, my 2008 1.6 diesel berlingo will not start, the radio display states eco mod, the engine spins over but will not start. A number of things won’t work, central locking, wipers, heater blower and radio.
I’ve checked all the fuses and swapped relays to no avail. My code reader won’t speak to the ecu either.

I can’t do a bsi reset as on you tube as my keys aren’t the button type

Can anyone offer any advice?

Eco mode just means the car has shut down to save the battery, how old is the battery and what voltage is it holding? A good battery should be around 12.75. To do a BSI reset just follow the set procedure but have the drivers window open and skip the bit about remote buttons. You could turn everything off and then disconnect the battery + and leave it like that for 10 minutes then reconnect the battery. You may have got the battery so low the BSI has had a fit and needs to settle down.
