Hi all ,the micro switch on the pcb in the fob key has come away from the solder joints !! its the one that opens the door , i have done a bit of soldering in the past but this is too minute for my eyes (I'm  73 ) is there anyone out there who could do this job or know of anyone that could do it ??? I've  been to the local citroen dealers and they suggested a new key which will be around two hundred pounds !! any help would be much appreciated!!(i dont expect it to be done for nothing !!) Thanks in advance Gwyn (my mucker )

There are people on eBay that do fob repairs. I have no idea how good they are though.

Unfortunately PC repair shops are kindergarten compared to a TV repair shop mate. The PC guys only plug in new cards, TV engineers repair to component level. You would have to find a proper electronics repair shop and they would do it no problem.

Search online for electronics repair and see what turns up.

The exact thing happened to mine. I bought the micro switches off of eBay really cheap and my friend who repairs cameras did it in about 5 mins! So I would suggest a camera repair shop, it’s a really quick simple fix. Just don’t let the transponder fall out Wink

Try a radio amateur. They can all solder, some really well, being used to building equipment with microchips in. If you advise your postcode I will give you some local addresses.
