Baby car seat for 62 plate Berlingo

Hi guys I’m new here! 

I am looking for some advice about car seats. We have a 62 plate Berlingo and I am 7 months pregnant. We are trying to choose a car seat.

We have chosen a car seat which has a post going down to the ground. However, the man at the shop suggested that the storage compartment at passenger seat floor would be too weak to safely support the car seat leg/post. He suggested we could get a filler block or something similar from Citroen but I don’t know if this exists. 

Does anyone have any experience with this? Any help would be much appreciated.

Is there not a section in the handbook about fitting child seats with support legs? In the handbook for my 16 plate XTR there is a section on fitting such seats with the leg going into the floor storage compartment. This only applies to the outer seats and not the centre one as there is no floor storage compartment in that position.

If you still not purchased car seat, could just get one with iso fix with out the extra leg. Stops the problem then.
Currently got a jole 360 and its great no moving.
