I wouldn't expect that its been vandalised with a paperclip or matchstick because the B9 fuel flap locks shut with the central locking. I was told that its the fuel vapour that dissolves the lubricant in the mechanism. I've had a stiff to turn lock which I eased by putting light oil (eg 3 in 1) on the key and sliding it in and out and turning it forward and backward while jiggling it. Once I got it off I dripped oil into it every couple of months to keep it freed up.

Mine (outer flap) doesn't lock with the doors ....whether by fault or design. Hence the cap locks.....
I'd check your flaps (oooer) to make sure your assumption is right. Can everyone do so and let me know as mine looks perfect but doesn't lock. I thought that's why the locking cap is there.

Ok mate, shame it didn't work. Must be something stuck in it or the tumblers are proper jammed.

Hi
Not sure it does lock on the van , well the flap does not lock on mine.
Hence why mine has a locking cap.
stay safe
