Do you have a clutch switch fitted? It won't work without one. If you look in Lexia to see if the clutch switch test is available, it shows active/not active as you press the clutch pedal and release it. You'd see the switch when you're under the dash but if the ECU & BSI aren't configured for it you might have to enable that too. If it's fitted though, it should be active.

A lot of the videos on youtube are showing Diagbox 7.02 so I had a spare hard drive and loaded up diagbox 7.02. I will give it another try tomorrow. In BSi It is showing the cruise and limiter as being present and in ECU/Injection it is present in there but still not working. Any help or advice would be most welcome. Thanks in advance  Smile

I think you may be better off sticking with the later version of Diagbox in case you have later ECU's than are recognised by 7.02, IIRC I had to use ver 7.11 as a minimum on my 2013 due to the Injection ECU not being recognised.

When you turn the knob on the limiter / cc stalk, does the instrument panel display change above the mileage?
There are some tests in Diagbox to check if the stalk is working, and also as posted by Zion, you should be able to check the clutch pedal switch in a similar way. On the point of the clutch switch, is it enabled in the BSI section of Diagbox?

There are lots of threads about cruise control in the B9 section of the forum, I found this instruction sheet in one of them, some of the older threads have attachments which look like they are 'forbidden' this is because the forum changed from .co.uk to .com at some point, you can access the attachments by changing the URL.

There's a whole load of stuff in here..

It might be worth tagging on to one of those threads as it'll go to people that have had similar problems.

Thanks Cancunia for reply and links. When I turn the rotary switch on CC nothing lights up on on mileage panel/led (it should by top let I think) Could you tell me where in lexia can I do a test to see if the clutch and break switch are working and also test the cruise stalk is working. Do yo think it would be worth removing the CC switch and reconnecting it to make sure its seated ok when I fitted it it clicked into with a positive click. Any help will be appreciated. I'm into it for about £85 and getting a little frustrated. Thanks in advance  Smile

Does the image below look the same as your panel? If so, you should see the CC / Limiter icon light up when you have the ignition on & the stalk switch set to either function. If you're not getting that, I'm not sure why. The various switches can be tested under 'actuator tests' but I can't remember exactly how you get to that part.

As mentioned above, I think it may help if you tag onto one of the other threads that I linked.

Hi Zion Thanks for your reply. I am going back out with the laptop. Can you point me in the right direction where in Lexia I can test the clutch switch, the cruise switch and see if they are functioning. I used the following the instructions the other day and it loaded

Hi mate, it should be in global test / diagnostics and actuator tests, ive not used mine in a while so memory rusty but I usually wing it to the part where you can carry out global test then look for actuator tests. Clutch switch will be listed then watch it as you press the pedal. Option to enable is as said by CC, in the BSI options configuration.

Hi. I have cone to the conclusion the car may not have a clutch switch fitted after all. I have found this on ebay
 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FAE-Clutch-co...SwNlJdMo9m
Would this fit mine. I've got a 2010 1.6hdi (90hp)XTR. for the sake of £12 I think I will order it

Looks like it. This one is a matching part and looks the same.

All cruise systems need the clutch and brake switches to be present, of course the brake one is always present to trigger the brake lights.

Did you even find the brake switch in Diagbox? I checked my version on the notebook, it's 7.57. not been on the B9 with it yet. If you find that, the clutch switch test should be nearby. You will have to enable that in the BSI configuration anyway when you have fitted it. If you do that part before fitting a switch, you should at least get an error message when trying cruise control.

Do you also need to configure the lvvd pedal too in the BSI I wonder...

Thanks Zion. Its going to take about a week to arrive. Do you know if its an easy job to do. I know it a bit tight on room under the dash.
