Alternator not charging

Hi guys,

I was  working on my power steering pump and touched the alternator with it.  A variety of sparks shot up and I guess I blew something.  Always disconnect the battery, lesson learned.

Anyways the alternator is now not charging, where do I start? Is there a fuse in the alternator or seperately in the box? New alternator needed?

Don't know what model you have but check the big fuses in the engine bay usually under a cover or ecu or battery on nearside. If no luck check fuses in the bsi near your right knee in the car.
