Connectors in bonnet fuse box.
#1
Hi all,

Mouse had a feast in the fuse box under the bonnet of my petrol 2010 Partner Teepee :Sad See image below.

I'd like to replace the two connectors that have been chewed (the black one and grey one) - I guess easiest is to get them with wires still attached so I can splice onto my existing wiring (don't want to have to replace the entire looms).

Does anyone know the names/functions of the two connectors, and where I can source the connectors (with wires attached)?

Many thanks,
Duane.

Best bet would be a breaker. For now you could message anyone breaking a partner or Berlingo of the same model on eBay, and ask them to sell you the two plugs with as much cable attached as they can get, then splice it with solder and heat shrink over the top. If you can't solder, then inline barrel crimps with heat shrink over those.

You couldn't buy those new with wiring attached, not possible. And new ones even if you could find them, would need to have wiring inserted with waterproof pressed & crimped pins that you couldn't replicate at home.

Hi Zion,

Thanks for your reply - asking people breaking on ebay is a good idea.

Are these two connectors standard across all B9 Berlingos/Partners? Or are they different for petrol/diesel, age etc?

Thanks,
Duane.

Also, what is the black connector with yellow-ish cables for? I have a soldering iron but doubt it's powerful enough to do those thick cables, so probably use crimp connectors if they are suitable.

I'd think they would be standard but I would send a pic to the seller of yours, so they can confirm they have them. And yeah have to agree those are heavy duty so probably need a big iron to solder them, 100w jobbie but crimps would work fine if done right.

Most psa cars of that era use the black & grey connectors like that.
It’s the 3 larger ones at the back that vary.
Shouldn’t be too difficult to source.
I would put some poison down, rodents can cause massive damage.
