[Steering & Suspension] Knocking Noise NSF
#1
Hi
Bought the Berlingo last Thursday ,private buy the seller mentioned their was a knocking from the NSF when I test drove it was only over rough road losse gravel it could be heard no noise on the motorway.
It had passed an Mot middle Feb 2020 so I figure the worse it could be would be a drop link. The owner also mentioned the Track rod end and top strut mount NSF had been changed for which he had the receipts..
So as the weather is nice up here I thought I would have the Wheels off and a look about. Couldn't find any play in the drop links but their was loose plastic under the wheel arch some of it broken away. Was going to put everything back together when I spotted this little beauty pics to follow.

My Holiday Snaps are not for Public viewing Smile
Took the Car out to see if the noise had quited down still their, but not as noisy. Having a look on the Bay for a new spring.

By the book you're suppose to renew springs as a pair.

Personally I like to use KYB springs, I find them to give an OEM ride height unlike some of the cheap springs out there.

Thankswas thinking of doing them both, with one gone I'm sure the other won't be far behind.
Where can I find the KYB springs ?

You'll find plenty of KYB springs on ebay from various companies.

Probably worth changing the top shock mounts while you're working on it now.. made some difference to my 2015 when they were done.
LHS was shot but the steering was noticeably a lot smoother and lighter...
