Fuse Qs (for piggy'ing a dashcam)
#1
I would like to hardwire an AOIFO dashcam and have the wiring harness for it to do parking mode etc.

I need to piggy off two fuses, one that is live on unlocking/opening/running and one that's always live.

Can anyone tell me which they've used in the past for this?  I'm thinking the horn for the perm and probably the 12v socket for the switched.

Next question - how do you get at the fuses in the footwell area?  The fuses seem to be very high up and big looms in the way - should the tray slide down or something (I couldn't see how).  The front 12v socket fuse is beyond reach as is.

Final question - they look like mini fuses to me, is that still the case or are they the low-profile or any other size (so I can buy the right piggy cable/holder)?

I was planning doing the same (fitting a dash cam) and have the same questions although mine doesn't need a permanent live, I was going to piggyback of the 12v supply and fit a second new 12v supply, has anyone fitted a dash cam to a 2019 Berlingo 1.5 flair? if so how did they do it.

Mine is plugged into the 12v accessory socket on the centre console, as it only needs to come on when I start the van. I use a double adaptor so I can still charge the phone if need be. I am considering using the old built in sat nav feed to power the camera as it also comes on when the ignition is on. It can be re-routed to the upper tray area as it comes from there, and then down the driver's pillar trim rubber. Just need to pull it back to that point.
