Partner TP, Sliding door Window Hinge
#1
Hello to you all.

Haynes manual does not give any clues about these hinges and if they fail, one of these has fallen out!

My query is how much of the sliding door do I have to take apart to replace a window hinge ?

I have bought 2 sets of all the parts I need as I hope to replace both hinges.

I`ve solved my problem in my own "botched way" !!!

I guess this issue has not been asked before and therefore you`ll be scratching your heads like I have.

With the sliding door open and lots of prising apart the cream coloured plastic, I figured I was doing more damage and getting no where of removing anything close to the problem.

So, get a small abrasive round Dremel about the size of the torq key you`ll have to use to get at the screw. Dremel away enough to get at the torq key screw head.
Make sure the outside window is being pressed inwards, locate the indent on the inside hinge thingy and twist the rubberised head to fit in snug. Torq key in the small screw.
This small screw does not want to drop out which is a good thing as my old small screw is the one I used.
