Bluetooth
#1
Hi All, hoping you can assist with with a problem, I’m new to this and would appreciate any assistance. I’ve just purchased a 2014 Citroen Berlingo and the Bluetooth isn’t doing anything when I go onto the menus it shows the following:

Bluetooth Telephone

I select this then the next menu appears showing;

Bluetooth telephone
Manage the telephone call (THIS OPTION IS GREYED OUT I CAN’T SELECT IT)

From this menu I select ok on Bluetooth telephone, it brings the following options up;

Connect / Disconnect an equipment
Consult the paired equipment
Delete a paired equipment
Perform a Bluetooth search (THIS OPTION IS GREYED OUT I CAN’T SELECT IT)

All four options when I click ok on them do nothing at all.

Not sure what’s going on, I’ve tried disconnecting the battery etc etc and it does nothing at all. Any assistance at all would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks
George

Is your phone Bluetooth already on, and is the phone set to discoverable?

If yes, try searching for the car from the phone. Once found and paired, the options should work.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I’ve done that but it doesn’t find the van. It’s as if the Bluetooth has been disabled or something....

If your Berlingo is a van it is not unknown for employers/rental companies to disable Bluetooth to prevent their employees/renters from making hands free calls despite these being legal. Or alternatively to block the addition of the driver's personal phones so that they can only use company supplied ones (which may account for the Bluetooth search function being unavailable).

Or the Bluetooth module is not fitted on your vehicle. The radio will have the function programmed in as standard but no module = no Bluetooth.
