Radio
#1
Hello, never done this before so not sure if doing it right.
Purchased a 2013 berlingo lx, it's had an aftermarket pioneer DAB radio fitted which is connected to bluetooth with hands free.
Not sure why, salesman wasn't sure either but thought maybe had previous problems with electrics.
What I want to know is if I purchased an original berlingo radio with code would there be a problem connecting it back up including using the handsfree. Thanks

They don't use a conventional code mate, original Berlingo stereos are matched to the cars vin number and won't work in a different car unless you code them in using Lexia Diagbox interface and software.

Also depending on the exact model of OEM stereo, some have Bluetooth built in, some use a separate module in the dash and some don't have it at all. Depends what the buyer specced as an option when the car was bought new. Is your a single din or double din? The OEM double din touchscreen head units are another version.

Used OEM ones of either single or double din with Bluetooth built in are expensive on eBay second hand. Mines a single din OEM with Bluetooth and I'd like to fit the OEM double din touchscreen one but never seen a used one below £250.
