My girlfriend and i are looking into buying a 2018+ citroen berlingo
and our needs are airco, petrol, manual transmission, cruise control and 2 doors instead of the big one because i dont fit underneath it
those are easy to find on the available cars
we would also like to have a tow bar, rear view camera wich could be added after the fact
and we would really like steering wheel controls and 2nd row electric windows
but dealers tell us that stuff like that are impossible to change
are they right? or are they unknowing of the ways to get it done

Rear power windows require swapping out the entire doors, I suppose.

My Berlingo Flair has most of the stuff you need, you must be tall not to fit under the tailgate, I do and I am six foot, although I do agree the two back doors would be handy as you need a lot of space to open the big door, mine is a 2019 model.

Electric rear windows are not an optional extra at all. It's side opening windows only.

I take it back about the tailgate, just banged my head on it. I can see the benefits on two rear doors as on my wife's B9 van. I take it's a crew van your looking at.

Yup. Electric rear passenger windows are standard in Feel trim level. Not possible to add in lower trim levels.
Also has roll blinds.
