Clutch problem

Hi guys, 

Recently bought a 2012 berlingo 1.6hdi

Few days ago I noticed that my clutch pedal bites very high and there is a rattle \ shake when setting off in first gear. It is fine in all other gears.

Am I looking at a clutch replacement or could it be something else.

That's a bit low for a clutch to wear out but not unknown. Have you checked the fluid levels?

sounds like a new clutch is needed, the rattle may be caused by a crack in the pressure plate, I had the same problem on an older car years ago

All fluid levels are fine

In that case, as mentioned above, it's probably a new clutch needed.
