Thanks for reading my problems and accepting me on your site.
Basically, I purchased a Peugeot Partner Tepee in 2018 new. Cost €32,000. Reason being its a wheel chair taxi (WAV). My insurance costed me €7,000 and I spent another €3,000 on meters, licenses, roof signs, door signs etc.
I only had the taxi one month and the following problems emerged:-
1. The 'Stop/Start Eco system did not work. Brought it back to Peugeot and they resolved the problem for one month.
2. Back again, did not resolve. Their assertion was that the Taxi Meter was draining the battery and hence there was not enough power to operate the 'stop/start. (I received dreadful abuse from these individuals).
3. One month later the Fuel gauge stuck. Back to Peugeot. Said could not find anything wrong, so basically, get lost.
4. Brought back the taxi again. they conceded that since the Peugeot was converted to a wheel chair vehicle, the fuel tank was replaced with a smaller one. However, they forget to re-calibrate the new fitted tank, which lead to the fuel gauge sticking.
5. Back again and they re-calibrated the systems this time and the matter was resolved.
6. The following month the lever to put on the full beams, failed to operate. Again a big issue made even though this is all under warranty
7. Two weeks ago, during the lock down, my taxi was parked outside my residence. I received a call from my neighbor to tell me that someone tried to
steal my cat.convertor I investigated, and to my utter dismay, the exhaust box fell off the undercarriage. The rubber mountings, three months old and faded and were completely corrupted.
8. Just today, when entering my taxi, I noticed that when I close the drivers door, the battery light starts flashing (note the keys are not in the ignition).
Like many people I have suffered financially in this Covid 19, but Peugeot take the biscuit with their ignorance, arrogance and down right careless attitude.
If there is anyone out there with a similar experience, I would only be to glad to hear from them?
Martin - Ireland.
Peace...
